8th September 2021 Unst SW3 Light rain

The mix of a slight muggy feel, light rain and at times a light southeasterly breeze (albeit not coming from very far) throughout the early morning felt nice conditions to produce a few migrants but largely failed to deliver. As so often, Skaw and Lamba Ness appeared shrouded in low cloud so I did an early circuit of Norwick seeing a Barred Warbler, a Lesser Whitethroat, a Chiffchaff, 2 Willow Warblers and the 5 Common Rosefinches. The rain ceased just after 9am that coincided with me arriving at Skaw where a Common Whitethroat and a Pied Flycatcher were seen sat drying themselves on fence-lines.
