We drove to Na Haew stocking up on provisions not knowing there was a restaurant at Phu Suan Sai National Park. We arrived at the National Park and whilst finding our bearings bumped into a group of birders who took us along the road to where they had seen Rufous-throated Fulvetta that we were soon photographing. We nearly lost our car on the steep slippery access track to our pre-booked cottage but a ranger saved the day! We spent the afternoon sat in a culvert beneath the road that overlooked a streambed where a succession of birds arrived to bathe and drink including a Chinese Leaf Warbler but unfortunately no Short-tailed Parrotbills obliged. We eat some of our provisions as the restaurant had closed before dark.
