We joined Andy Last and Tom Bedford who had found a Blyth's Reed Warbler in the field below Valyie. It proved incredibly elusive affording just a very occasional jinking flight view. However, with Roger & Scott helping keep track of it with their thermal imaging kit we eventually secured a few poor images and eventually heard it calling. It was also great to be back birding alongside Matt albeit only briefly. As we walked home we saw the Ortolan in flight.
