Parrot Crossbills at Ungirsta

Fortunately there is an excellent website detailing the various calls of Crossbill call types in the western Palearctic here. From that website Parrot Crossbill call types N21 appears a close match to a sonogram (inset above) obtained from a recording made yesterday uploaded to xeno canto here.

The call type per the xeno canto sonogram (right) also appears a close match to a recording of a Parrot Crossbill recorded in the Netherlands on the 1st October (left) here.art
