Calm at dawn and the first frost of the Autumn but the wind all too soon picked up. It was soon apparent that virtually all of yesterday's Thrushes had flown straight through as very few were to be seen on the island. There had been an arrival of Brambling since our last circuit of Norwick but otherwise everything had remained very static.
Norwick: juv Whooper Swan, 2 Long-tailed Duck, Song Thrush, Redwing, Lesser Whitethroat, 3 Blackcap, Chiffchaff, 8 Greenland Redpoll, Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll, Hawfinch, 5 Chaffinch & 60 Brambling.
Skaw: Glossy Ibis.
Hatoldswick: Redwing & 3 Brambling.
Burrafirth: Song Thrush & 20 Redwing.
