Perfect early morning weather to complete a Black Guillemot survey where the highlight was a flock of 9 Snow Buntings atop East Hill. Then straight into completing two Common Bird Census squares that produced a White Wagtail and 3 Brambling on Haroldswick beach. A walk around Norwick produced the surprise of the day being a redhead Goosander sat alongside the burn that runs through the mires and more routine fare the best being a Sparrowhawk, 6 Whimbrel, a Collared Dove, a Redwing, a Robin, a Dunnock, 2 Blackcaps, 2 Chiffchaffs and a female Hawfinch.
