As I drove home through Haroldswick this evening the Greenland White-fronted Goose was again in the field south of the Heritage Centre and there was a Kestrel present too. On arriving home Brenda told me that our garden had been playing host to the 3 Hawfinches (male and 2 females) but in a case of de ja vu, whilst they had still been present recently, they had disappeared! A Dunnock hopping around didn't prove too much consolation! However, after a short wait, one of the females did the decent thing and put in an appearance. The next time I looked, all 3 Hawfinches were present and a flock of 25 Brambling had arrived.
