12th April 2022 Unst SE5 Overcast

A cold wind but involving a southeasterly airflow that brought a handful of migrants. Our best was saved to nearly last as a Greenland White-fronted Goose was found consorting with the Greylag Geese in the fields south of the Heritage Centre.

Millfield: Chiffchaff.

Skaw: Sparrowhawk, Robin, Chiffchaff & Bertie found an exhausted Goldfinch that sadly died.

Norwick: Sparrowhawk, 4 Pied Wagtails, 2 Redwings, Linnet, 4 Chaffinch & 2 Brambling.

Baltasound: Goldcrest.

Northdale: 2 Redwings.

Haroldswick: Greenland White-fronted Goose, Pied Wagtail, 3 Redwings & a Fieldfare.

Burrafirth: Brambling.
