Skaw produced nothing more than a Robin, 5 Redwings, the 2 Mealy Redpolls and the 2 Siskins. Lamba Ness was more productive as we saw a Purple Sandpiper, a Grey Wagtail, a Robin, a Fieldfare, 3 Song Thrushes, 7 Redwings, a Goldcrest, a Lapland Bunting, 6 Snow Buntings and 7 Siskins. With Brydon finding a superb Lesser Grey Shrike at Halligarth we wasted little time in heading for Baltasound to enjoy some excellent views. A circuit around Norwick added a Long-eared Owl, the Stock Dove, a Reed Warbler, 2 Yellow-browed Warblers, a Chiffchaff, a Goldcrest, 5 Bramblings, 5 Chaffinches, c.20 Mealy Redpolls and a Siskin.
