A much nicer dawn than forecast but Skaw only produced a Kestrel and a Willow Warbler and then Norwick just a Willow Warbler. The wind really picked up quickly so sea-watching at Lamba Ness seemed the only sensible option. A good while spent there was rewarded with 2 Sooty Shearwaters and a blue Fulmar flying south and brief views of 2 Killer Whales looking immensely powerful in the heavy seas.
A nice start to the morning
