A lovely sunrise setting off with Brydon full of optimism for the day ahead with a light easterly blowing. We arrived at Skaw and despite our best efforts left having seen just a single Willow Warbler. We headed to Norwick and in contrast to yesterday none of the goodies were seen leaving just 2 Pied Flycatchers and a single Willow Warbler in their wake. Brydon left me to it and North Dale soon produced the highlight of the day in the form of a Short-eared Owl. A tour of the Baltasound sites produced very little and a 90 minute seawatch this evening proved unproductive with even Bonxies now in far reduced numbers.
