As the gales began to subside and the rain stopped we took a walk around Norwick where there had been a small arrival of Redwings and a Red-breasted Flycatcher was found by visitors but I only glimpsed. An Otter passing us at close range at Valyie proved the highlight but the wind soon picked-up again. We then took a walk around Skaw in the challenging weather that a Lapland Bunting probably considered the norm! A 9 hour power cut saw out the day!
