2nd October 2021 Unst SSW5 Clear

A nice morning albeit a little breezy. We finally bumped into the Bluethroat at Norwick that showed nicely at Leawart and found a Barred Warbler there and another nearby. 

Norwick: Merlin, 2 Redwings, Song Thrush, Tree Pipit, Bluethroat, 5 Blackcaps, 2 Barred Warblers, Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Chiffchaffs, 3 Willow Warbler, Yellow-browed Warbler & Spotted Flycatcher. 

Haroldswick: Sparrowhawk, Merlin, Ruff, Robin, Marsh Warbler, 2 Blackcaps & h Snow Bunting.

Given its very broad rufous lower breast-band I wonder which subspecies is involved?
