Skaw produced a Heron flying north, a Robin, a Song Thrush, 10 Redwings, a Chiffchaff, a Chaffinch and a Brambling. Norwick was more productive with a Robin, a Red-backed Shrike, 50 Brambling, 4 Little Buntings together in the newly harvested potato field and our first Reed Bunting of the Autumn. At Burrafirth there was a Blackcap, 2 Chiffchaffs, a Brambling was heard overflying and a Common Redpoll dropped in briefly. Haroldswick played host to a Heron, a Water Rail, 6 Blackcaps, 3 Yellow-browed Warblers, 2 Chiffchaffs, a Siberian Chiffchaff, a Willow Warbler and 6 Bramblings. At Lund we saw 3 Blackcaps, 2 Chiffchaffs and a Goldcrest. For some reason we then commenced on a tour of quarries that resulted in us seeing a Yellow-browed Warbler in the first one we visited but no Accentors!
