As we drove down from Alishan an Indian Black Eagle was watched hunting over a hillside below us. We again checked the fruiting trees for Island Thrush without success although 65 Eye-browed Thrushes were seen and this time failed to even hear Black-necklaced Scimitar Babbler nearby although a Taiwan Scimitar Babbler was seen amongst a roving mixed flock as was an unexpected Grey-headed Woodpecker. We then made the journey back to Wushe where we spent the evening along the road near the Km4 marker with a pair of Siberian Rubythroats proving the highlight.
