A frost at dawn but soon becoming a beautiful bright warm day. Birdwise not nearly as exciting as seeing a Great Bustard at Beachy - well done Simon for finding it flying in - but some nice birds seen nonetheless. Walking around Norwick produced a Merlin, 6 Woodcocks, a Knot, 3 Robins, 5 Redwings, c.10 Blackbirds, a Waxwing, a Blackcap, 3 Siberian Chiffchaffs including one in our garden, a Brambling, a Redpoll sp. was heard and a flock of 23 Snow Buntings overflew heading south. A quick look around Haroldwick added a Woodcock and a brief view of a Chiffchaff.
