I spent the day working on mainland where the survey was considerably enlivened during the first hour by a decent southbound passage of Fieldfares. In the first hour of daylight I counted 2,800 in flocks numbering up to 500 strong but then only 100 in the second hour. I only saw 15 Redwings and a Robin and a Chiffchaff were also seen.
