It felt very autumnal with grey skies, low cloud and occasional drizzle. Skaw failed to produce a passerine migrant and a walk round Norwick added the Bonaparte's Gull, 4 Swallows, the Common Rosefinch and a Mealy Redpoll. After more-organised drizzle cleared mid-afternoon I tried Northdale where I saw my first Sedge Warbler of the Autumn, 2 Willow Warblers and the Mealy Redpoll and Burrafirth produced the Sand Martin, my first Barred Warbler of the Autumn and a Willow Warbler.
