3rd March 2017 Tam Dao NP to Siem Reap, Cambodia

We took our final walk along the Water Tank Trail at Tam Dao NP virtually immediately seeing a flock of Silver-eared Mesias followed by a flock of Indochinese Yuhinas accompanied by what we considered was a White-spectacled Warbler. We then spent most of our time at the Pitta stake-out but with no last-minute success this time. Just as we were leaving we met Thang, who had organised the logistics for our trip, leading two Americans. Reluctantly we said our farewells and headed to Hanoi Airport for our Vietnam Airlines flight to Siem Reap in Cambodia that left on time. We arrived after dark, purchased our tourist visa and were met by a tuk tuk driver from the Oriental Hotel and taken into town.

Most-importantly its eyering appears to thin / be broken above its eye but the pale yellow crescent across its lores also appears consistent with images of this species on the OBC database
