25th May 2024 Unst SE3 Overcast

An early morning look at the local sites before spending most of the day surveying. The highlight being a male Grey-headed Wagtail on the roadside enroute to Skaw and a female Bluethroat around our garden.

Skaw: 53 (16, 20 & 17) Barnacle Geese flew north, Common Tern, Grey-headed Wagtail, male & female Red-backed Shrike, Sedge Warbler, Garden Warbler, Icterine Warbler, Pied Flycatcher & 2 Spotted Flycatcher.

Norwick: Sparrowhawk, Sanderling, 2 Turtle Dove, Collared Dove, Swift, Robin, female Bluethroat, 3 Garden Warbler, Blackcap, Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Marsh Warbler, Icterine Warbler, Wood Warbler, 2 Spotted Flycatcher & 2 Goldfinch.
