11th May 2023 Unst & mainland NE2 Overcast

As I drove through Haroldswick on my way to work I saw my first 2 Common Terns of the year fishing in the bay. Whilst at work on mainland I saw my first 3 Arctic Skuas of the year - the latest 'earliest date' that I've ever recorded them. During the evening a party of 5 Mealy Redpolls spent a few minutes feeding in our garden.
