As I walked out of the front door this morning a Lapland/Snow Bunting was heard calling high overhead as it flew south. The Red-backed Shrike was still present at Skaw but new migrants proved few and far between in the north of the island although included my first Common Redstart of the Autumn.
Skaw: Whinchat, Willow Warbler & Red-backed Shrike.
NorthDale: Willow Warbler & 12 Siskin.
Norwick: Sparrowhawk, 4 Garden Warblers, 2 Blackcaps, 5 Willow Warblers, 2 Chiffchaffs, Pied Flycatcher, 2 Common Crossbills, 2 Siskins and a Lapland/Snow Bunting heard.
