We left KL at 8am arriving at KK at 10.30am where we birded the area in the vicinity of the airport prior to our early afternoon flight to Lahad Datu. After changing some money at a bank we were pleased to find a minibus heading into Danum Valley saving us a night in Lahad Datu. We arrived at the Field Centre just as it was getting dark.
