The day started well with a Waxwing seen at Kirkaton as we walked towards Valyie, where it got better as 2 Hornemann's Arctic Redpolls were sat in the pines taking the first rays of sunshine and another 2 or 3 Waxwings were present there. However, nothing prepared us for the grand finale to the day, as late afternoon we found a beauty of male Pied Wheatear at NorthDale... huge adrenaline rush!
