The Great Knot was still at Skaw although wandering more widely along the coast towards Inner Skaw today. A look at Valyie failed to produce any new migrants but both the Common Redstart and Lesser Whitethroat remained. Late evening excitement was provided by Brydon finding a smart male Rustic Bunting along the burn at Skaw whilst taking Casey and Corey to see the Great Knot. I arrived in time to obtain just the briefest of views but good enough to see just what a fine coloured-up male it was.
