19th November 2018 Unst SSE2 Overcast

The run of dry warm weather continues and there was a noticeable influx of Thrushes today. Skaw produced 2 Great Northern Divers, a Song Thrush, 15 Redwings, 10 Fieldfares and 10 Blackbirds. NorthDale added 2 Meadow Pipits, 10 Redwings, 5 Fieldfares and a flock of 20 Chaffinches. Burrafirth produced a Great Northern Diver, the Scaup, 2 Long-tailed Ducks, a juvenile Glaucous Gull, 5 Redwings, 10 Fieldfares and 2 Snow Buntings. Haroldswick added another Great Northern Diver as did Norwick where there were also 10 Redwings, 15 Blackbirds, a Chiffchaff and 15 Chaffinches at Valyie.
