A decent easterly wind picking up with persistent and then heavy rain arriving. Two Fieldfares were present at Braeview but I saw nothing more than a Willow Warbler at Skaw. A Common Rosefinch at Burrafirth gave some encouragement but Norwick only added 3 Whimbrel, a Garden Warbler, a Reed Warbler and 2 Willow Warblers with another Reed Warbler at Millfield. With the wind and rain worsening I headed for the shelter of the pines at Setters Hill where I found an Arctic Warbler that then showed on and off for the afternoon by which time the heavy rain stopped play.
