A seawatch from Lamba Ness from 8.15am to 10.15am produced a Sooty Shearwater (N), 30 blue Fulmars (N), a drake Velvet Scoter (S), 3 Common Scoter (S), a Bonxie (N) and a Purple Sandpiper (N). A check of Skaw and Norwick in windy conditions produced just a few Redwings but a Snow Bunting flew past Millfield later in the afternoon.

Far fewer Blackbirds and Fieldfare in evidence today and the overall darkness, heavilly streaked underparts, dark-centred undertail-coverts and horn coloured legs suggest that the Redwings present are Icelandic Redwings.
