14th June 2016 Unst SE2 Clear

Another beautiful warm sunny morning with a light easterly breeze to keep the Spring alive but early morning visits to Skaw and Norwick failed to produce any new migrants. The Marsh Warbler was still present but proved no easier to see and one of the Reed Warblers was heard singing.

my daily morning walk along the typically deserted beach at Skaw

my daily commute across the silver seas of the Bluemull Sound to Yell

the quay at Gutcher on Yell

Standby ferry service at Gutcher?!

the wind had picked up for the return journey across the Bluemull Sound

Burrafirth on Unst with some cloud building offshore this evening

Marsh Warbler still proving very elusive!
