Kingfisher at Rodmell
With the species maintaining a year-round presence in the County, Kingfishers are probably an under-appreciated migrant. However, ringing recoveries have revealed that some head south to warmer climes of France and Spain and their Autumn passage reaches its peak in August and September. This is the first we have seen at this location this year so the timing of its appearance might have been expected.
