the initial overcast conditions were presumably responsible for grounding a small fall and many were in song as they quickly made their way inland

what now feels like quite a prolonged spell of grounded alba although not in the numbers being experienced in the northwest where in excess of 100 were counted on a single beach on the Wirral late last week
