Bar-tailed Godwit at Rye
Considering the date the appearance of this Bar-tailed Godwit is rather interesting. Its bill is as you would anticipate in winter. Its plain tertials are adult feathers as expected. The only summer plumage attained appears the limited rufous patches across its breast and a couple of scapulars.
