Sandhill Crane G.c. canadensis at Arasaki

Whilst widespread in North America it is less appreciated that Sandhill Crane also enjoys an extensive breeding range in northeast Russia. Most are assumed to winter in North America as only a handful have ever been found wintering at Arasaki amongst the flocks of Hooded Cranes.
