2/11/10: After a night of gales we awoke to a W4-5 wind and scattered showers. Nearly the first species seen was our first Brown Thrush of the trip heralding another good day for Thrushes on the island. A couple of decent-sized flocks of Waxwings then flew over the island and White-cheeked Starlings reached their daily maximum of 12. In addition 2 Siberian Accentors and Red-breasted Flycatchers were seen as well as the Siberian Chiffchaff, Pine Bunting and Pallas’s Reed Bunting all at Tsukasa. Our only adult Glaucous-winged Gull of the trip joined the Gulls sheltering in the harbour.
