GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL 1 3w UK498 Large, stocky Gull with small head and small dark eye set high on head. Some brown scaling on head and underbody contrasting with whiter flanks. Mantle and upperparts pale grey similar to argenteus Herring Gulls. Dark pink legs. Primaries grey at rest. In flight white trailing edge and band around terminal primaries. Bill dark with obvious pale tip.
