Red-necked Grebe 1 adult acquiring summer plumage. Crown black with small tufts
at rear of crown. White throat. Deep red neck becoming pale almost white on
breast. Upperparts brown. Flanks suffused with brown becoming whiter towards
rear. Small yellow base to black bill. Spring-diving on several occasions.
