Baillon’s Crake 1 ex views at 6.40am. Red eye, all-green bill, brown crown, upperparts rufous brown with many white flecks. Underparts steely blue becoming heavily barred on flanks and undertails. Spiky brown tail. Swam across 10 yards of open water but generally crept around in grass. Calling frequently - frog like.

Forster’s Tern 1 first year plumage. Dark line through eye, black bill, very stiff winged with shallow wingbeats. Looked larger and less bouyant than Common Tern.

Black-headed Wagtail 1 adult male. Buzzing call quite distinct from Yellow Wagtail.
