The drive from Sussex to Yorkshire produced a few Red Kites and Ring-necked Parakeets. Kilnsea wetlands was playing host to a flock of c.50 Mediterranean Gulls, an Avocet, c.30 Ruff, a Little Ringed Plover and the adult White-rumped Sandpiper. It was then good to catch-up with Paul French and Richard Porter and an honour to receive the Carl Zeiss Award for 2019 from BBRC.
