My hopes were high walking around Valyie with Clive Saunders who has previously found both Ovenbird and Eastern Kingbird in the UK but 2 Swallows, a Garden Warbler, 2 Willow Warblers and 2 Chiffchaffs were all that we could find! Whilst mowing the lawn a flock of Pinkfeet overflew and the wind strengthened so I headed for Lamba Ness. Al was clearly thinking it might be worthwhile too as he arrived soon after I'd sat down. Whilst the seawatching proved very quiet we heard some Lapland Buntings overhead and fortuitously 4 landed and commenced feeding - superb.
