After a clear night when the stars were shining brightly it was perhaps no surprise that I only saw a single Siberian Chiffchaff today. A flock of 3 Snow Bntings overflew heading south as I walked out of our front door. At Valyie I saw 2 Robins and 2 Redwings. At Haroldswick I saw a Merlin, a Woodcock, a Robin, 2 Fieldfares, a Redwing, a Siberian Chiffchaff and a flighty Lapland Bunting. At Burrafirth there was a flock of 5 Snow Buntings in the dunes. At Lamba Ness there was a blue Fulmar sat on the cliffs, a Merlin, 2 Jack Snipe and 7 Snow Buntings.
